Unicorn Panel Self-hosted multi-server control panel

The free hosting panel built for multi-server fleets.

Provision, manage, and monitor every website, database, mailbox, and DNS zone across your entire fleet from one place. One Primary panel, any number of workload hosts, with no per-server logins and no hidden licensing tiers.

No usage telemetry Native arm64 + amd64 A container per site

Run a complete first-party stack, or orchestrate the engines you already know.

Quickstart

Up and running in one command

Install the panel on a fresh Alpine Linux host, then open the Control Panel.

$ wget -qO- https://unicornpanel.com/install | sh

Don't forget to Read the install guide. No server yet? Deploy it on Vultr in one click.

Why Unicorn

Built around the way real fleets work

The older panels were built for one box and grew sideways from there. These are the areas where that shows, and where Unicorn Panel was designed differently from day one.

Multi-server from day one

Primary ↔ Secondary is the foundation, not a bolt-on. Every host is a first-class object the panel can provision, monitor, and proxy into.

A complete first-party stack

Sleipnir web server, Hermes mail, Mimir SQL, Heimdall DNS: run your whole fleet without a single third-party daemon. The familiar engines stay supported too.

A container per site, by default

Every site runs in its own container, with its own user, its own ports, and its own limits. One site cannot starve or compromise another.

PHP 5.6 → 8.5, per site

Twelve major versions, changed per site whenever you like. Legacy WordPress and Magento installs are not forced to upgrade just to use the panel.

Backups that match the model

Websites, databases, mailboxes, and panel config back up separately, and restore separately: a single file, a single table, or one mail folder, with mail merged rather than overwritten.

White-label that works

Resellers get their own panel domain, branding, and SMTP for transactional mail. Their customers never see the upstream operator.

Architecture

Treat the cluster as one machine

One small daemon runs on every host, and the Primary keeps mirroring the whole fleet, with no central database to scale.

Primary

Primary panel panel UI · operator API · mirrors the fleet
the Primary mirrors every host · a key per server

Secondaries (workload hosts)

web-01 Sleipnir · PHP
db-02 Mimir · Postgres
mail-01 Hermes
dns-eu Heimdall

No central database. No usage tracking.

  • One small daemon per host does the privileged work, so the panel itself never needs the run of the machine.
  • Each host keeps its own state and the Primary mirrors it, so there is no shared database in the middle.
  • Resellers get their own slice of the fleet, and their customers only ever see their own sites.
  • Built on Alpine Linux + Podman, cross-compiled for amd64 and arm64. ARM hosts are first-class.

For resellers

A branded panel for every client you sell to

Resellers get their own panel domain, logo, colors, and favicon, plus their own mail hostname and their own SMTP, so everything their customers see is theirs. Anything they have not customized falls back to your defaults rather than breaking.

  • Three-tier model: operator → reseller → customer
  • Per-account branding and per-account SMTP
  • Customers see only the sites you list for them
  • Outgoing mail renders with the recipient’s brand
