Run mail from the same
panel as everything else
Mailboxes, aliases, forwarders, catch-alls, quotas, and filtering, for every domain on every host in the fleet. Webmail is built in, and resellers can serve all of it from their own mail hostname instead of yours.
Reseller mail hostnames
Their customers never see your domain
A reseller sets their own mail hostname, and every mailbox they own uses it: IMAP and SMTP settings, webmail links, and the password-reset mail that goes out. One server can serve several reseller hostnames at once, each with its own certificate.
- A mail hostname per reseller, used everywhere their customers look
- Several hostnames on one server, each with its own certificate
- The panel checks DNS points at the server before it tries to issue
- Certificates issue on save and renew on a daily sweep, before they expire
- Every custom hostname on a server visible in one admin view
Mailboxes
Everything you set per mailbox and per domain
Mailboxes under any domain
Create a mailbox on any domain the panel knows about, on any host in the fleet, with a quota you set or none at all.
Aliases and forwarders
Route an address to another mailbox, or push a copy out to an external address and choose whether a copy stays behind. Sub-addressing is there too, so you can hand out name+tag@ and filter on it.
Catch-all per domain
Decide what happens to mail sent to an address that does not exist, per domain rather than for the whole server.
Suspend without deleting
Turn a mailbox off and back on again. Nothing is destroyed, so a billing dispute does not cost someone their mail.
Sieve rules
A default set for everyone, and per-user rules on top, so filing happens on the server rather than in one person’s mail client.
Sent and received at a glance
A sparkline per mailbox over the last day, so a mailbox that has gone quiet or gone mad is obvious from the list.
Filtering you control
Tune the filter per domain, not per server
Spam handling is set where it matters. A support address can run gentle while a contact form address runs strict, and a known sender can be let through for one mailbox without opening a hole for everyone else.
- A spam threshold per domain, rather than one setting for the whole box
- Allowlists at both domain and mailbox level, by sender or by whole domain
- Greylisting with a delay you choose, set server-wide and overridden per domain
- Attachments scanned on delivery, and the sender checks run before the message lands
Webmail
Roundcube, already signed in
Installed with the role
Enable mail on a host and webmail comes with it. There is nothing extra to install, wire up, or keep patched separately.
One click, no second login
Open a mailbox from the panel and you land in Roundcube already signed in, on the first click rather than the second.
Works from any host
Webmail for a mailbox on a secondary opens the same way it does on the Primary, at the reseller’s own hostname.
Backup and restore
Restoring mail does not have to lose mail
Mailboxes back up on their own schedule, separately from the site they belong to. Restoring is the part most panels get wrong: bringing back yesterday means losing today. Here the restore merges by default, so the backup’s messages go back in and everything received since stays exactly where it is.
- Pick whole mailboxes, or just the folders you actually need back
- Merge is the default, so nothing that arrived since the backup is lost
- A full rollback to the backup is one checkbox away when that is what you want
- Live sessions are closed cleanly first, so nothing is holding the files open
Every domain gets its own DKIM signing key, generated for you rather than shared across the server. If the domain’s DNS is on the panel, the SPF and DMARC records are written into the zone for you as well. Sender checks, transport security, and the rest of the delivery path are Hermes, the mail suite built into the panel.
Hermes is a mail server, not a bulk sender. For marketing campaigns or high-volume transactional mail, keep using a provider built for it. If you would rather everything left through that provider, outbound can be handed to a smarthost instead.
Let your customers see your brand, not ours.
Mailboxes, aliases, filtering, webmail, and a mail hostname of their own.
